Geothermal Open Loop Scaling Issue Discussion

An article about open loop geothermal heat pump systems and the issue of scaling. With an open loop system, it is believed that the dense aqua brought up from the well could potentially cause a build up of minerals and scaling on the inner components of the heat pump.
